Challah boards

To date, I have only prepared these "leaf shaped" challah boards but I am looking forward to making alternative shapes. Making a challah board is time consuming work. For these simply shaped challah boards I am requesting a minimum donation of £120 to one of the listed charities. The minimum donation for other shapes and custom made items will be discussed and agreed individually.

In the two challah boards shown below, I have made a feature of the heavily charred wood used in the whisky barrel ends from which they were made. Each pair of photographs shows both sides of one individual challah board. Not stripping the wood down beyond all the charring on one side and some of the surface markings on the outside of the barrel end has retained much more of the unique character of the whisky barrel.
